When does NSFAS open for 2027?

NSFAS typically opens late in the year usually around September. Remember, you can and should apply for university before applying for NSFAS. If you use UniAssist's Standard or Premium packages, we handle the NSFAS application for you as soon as the portal officially opens.

What documents do I need to apply for university?

You generally need a clear copy of your ID, your Grade 11 final results or Matric certificate if you have completed Grade 12, and the ID of your Next of Kin/Parent.
